CHEARS is issuing two Calls for Entries (One for artists and one for young artists) for an art exhibit and sale fundraiser with the theme "The Art of Healing the Chesapeake Bay Watershed." The project is being held as part of the Greenbelt Greenman Festival and supported in part by FONDCA, Prince Georges Arts Council, and Prince Georges County. January 9 --Town Hall Meeting on Clean Car Bill in Maryland to be held in Greenbelt
December 28, 2006
On January 9, 2007 (7PM), the Chesapeake Climate Action Network, Greenbelt Maryland Chapter and the Peace and Justice Coaliton of Prince Georges County with additional co-sponsors including CHEARS will hold a Town Meeting to help pass the Maryland Clean Cars Bill. The program will include: Mike Tidwell (Director of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network), Brad Heavner (state director of Enviroment Maryland), Mayor Davis of Greenbelt and other elected officials.
